Fiest

Fiest is a POS and management platform for restaurants. On it, a restaurant takes orders, handles payments, runs the kitchen and follows its numbers live, on the phones and tablets it already owns.

The restaurant business is hard on its own. Margins are thin, the work is physical and depends on people, and the hours are long for modest pay. A good system should reduce that work. Fiest has been built with the customer first: how the interface behaves on a busy night, what happens when a third-party server or the card network goes down, and how quickly a new employee can take orders on their first shift. Those details decide whether the system helps or becomes one more thing to manage.

Elias Nurmela and Markus Marttila got the idea for Fiest in Lisbon in 2023, when they scanned a restaurant's QR code for the menu and got a PDF. They founded Fiest in Helsinki in 2024 and spent the first period with a handful of restaurants, working through the everyday problems at the counter before widening the customer base. Larger restaurants and multi-site groups came after that, so development has kept following the needs of more demanding customers.

We invested in Fiest in 2026, having met the founders for the first time in late 2025. Rossipohja Invest and one private investor joined the round. We invested first of all in the founders, and in a company that resembles cases we have been an investor and board member in before: everyday software for small service businesses, used at the counter on every shift. We look forward to working with Elias and Markus as they build Fiest into the leading platform for running a restaurant.
